Class Descriptions

Beginner Silks- Come learn the basics of flying! We start with climbing, footlocks and an array of aerial poses. Gain the body awareness and strength to sustain yourself in the air. **No Experience Necessary**

Beginner II Silks- Take your flight to the next level in this class. We will work on sequencing moves, begin work in our double foot lock, and take your flight a little higher. We will be introducing locks, keys, and even a drop or 2 in this fun, next level class. **Previous Experience Required**

Intermediate I Silks- Fly a little higher in this class. We will start to explore and work with different locks, keys, inversions and sequences in this class, as well as, start to touch on some basic drops. **Previous silks experience required. Must be able to do a clean aerial footlock (single and double), a hip key off the ground, invert in a crossback straddle and be able to do a clean invert from the ground.

Intermediate II Silks- Take your silks experience to the next level in this class. We will start to explore more complex drops and sequencing, and really hone in on technique. **Previous silks experience AND Instructor Approval required. Must be able to invert in the air, sequence moves in single and double footlocks, hip key *cleanly* in the air and be proficient at, at least 1 drop**    **Instructor Approval Required**

Advanced Silks- The highest level of our aerial fabric classes. Instructor Approval is required to enter this class!!

Lyra Hoop- Learn to spin, invert and fly on our metal aerial hoop suspended from the ceiling. You will learn a variety of different static poses in the hoop, as well as, begin to sequence them together. Focus will be on building the core strength and stability to stay in the air and look good doing it! This is an all levels class.

Aerial Yoga- Take your yoga practice to the next level and take it off the ground! Whether you are an advanced yogi or new to the world of yoga, this class will offer something for everyone. This class is done in a hammock that hangs about hip level, and we use it to assist us in the yoga sequences we will go through. Modifications will be given to either increase or decrease the level of difficulty. Stretching will be taken to a whole new level in this class. Come turn yoga on its head with this great workout for all levels and all ages!

Acro- Work on your flexibility, balance, strength, muscle control, discipline & concentration. This class will focus on fundamental acrobatic technique. Students will learn such things as handstands, chin stands, elbow stands, cartwheels, back bends, walkovers, balance, & contortion tricks. Acro is not the typical tumbling or gymnastics class. This class is great for students looking to enhance their agility, flexibility, & strength.

Aerial Conditioning- Focus on the core strength and stability needed for aerial arts. Work out muscles you never knew you had on a variety of apparatuses.. all the while in the air! We will focus on gaining strength, awareness, and  endurance in the air.  This is a class open to students with prior aerial experience.

Performance Technique- Take your training to the next level by focusing on the in’s and out’s of perfecting aerial routines. We will focus on transitions that make your aerial pieces your own, and finding your own specific style in the air. Musicality not required but previous silks experience is.

Open Studio- This is a practice time for CURRENT students. You must have taken a class with us in the last 6 months, on the apparatus you wish to practice on, to be eligible for this class. No formal instruction will be given in this class as it is a time to work on things you are already familiar with.






Do I need to bring anything?

A: Just yourself, a water bottle and a good attitude. Be hydrated and ready to try some new things!

What should I wear?

A: Form fitting workout clothes. No jewelry. No loose, baggy clothing as it can get caught in the fabric.

I’ve never done anything like this before…. (not really a question, but still gets ‘asked’ often)

A: That is totally fine! Most people starting out have no prior experience. We start from the very beginning so even if you have no experience, very little strength, are scared or whatever… you are completely in the right place signing up for this class! We will tailor the class to your skill level and you will build your basis here.

Do I need to sign up in advance?

A: Yes! All classes have a certain amount of spots available. Signing up in advance ensures that every student gets enough time on the fabric, hoop, etc..
